Things people often ask before getting in touch
Do we need to be at a certain stage before working with you?
No. The ESG Direction Engagement and the Sustainability Note are both designed for firms at the beginning of this process — where the questions are still forming. You do not need prior experience with sustainability frameworks or disclosure.
What does the ESG Direction Engagement actually produce?
At the end of twelve to fourteen weeks, you receive a materiality map identifying the environmental and social topics most relevant to your business, a starting disclosure register, a draft narrative for stakeholders, and notes from four working sessions. The documents are written to be used — not to sit in a folder.
Will this make us compliant with a specific reporting framework?
Not as such. Our engagements lay a careful foundation — particularly for firms in Malaysian supply chains facing questions from overseas buyers — but they do not produce a completed report to any specific regime. That may be a natural next step, but it is not what we are offering here.
How does the Supply Chain Review work practically?
We begin with desk research on your tier-one suppliers, then conduct selected site visits where the desk findings suggest they are warranted. The written review ranks concerns by severity and likelihood, without judgement — the aim is preparation, not exposure. Your procurement lead receives a discussion of the findings before the review is finalised.
What sort of question is suitable for a Sustainability Note?
Questions like: "Is this particular framework appropriate for a firm of our size at this stage?" or "How should we respond to this specific request from an overseas customer?" A Sustainability Note is not suitable for broad or open-ended questions — it works best when the question is specific and the answer will inform a decision.
How is our information handled?
All information shared with us is treated as confidential. We do not reference client names externally, publish case studies, or share working materials with third parties without written agreement. A non-disclosure agreement can be put in place before any substantive conversation begins, if preferred.
